"I had been advised by DVA that I was awarded a pension for hearing disability. Your advice to apply for a pension and subsequent report on my condition was a large factor in obtaining a favourable decision. Many thanks for all your efforts on my behalf.

Children are accompanied by a parent/guardian during the assessment, and assume an active role during ‘play audiometry.’ Family members are welcome to observe and participate in the counseling session at the discretion of the (adult) patient.

We offer some minor repairs to hearing aids free of charge, and are able to arrange for any hearing aid under seven years of age to be quickly repaired through the manufacturer. If needed, we try to provide our patients with a loaner aid.Hearing Aid

*Note: The Uxbridge Hearing Centre is a private practice audiology clinic (non-OHIP). Rates for hearing tests are reasonable, and, as you may know, the Ministry of Health no longer considers hearing aid evaluations as an insured benefit of OHIP. Therefore, at all audiology centres, including hospitals, the patient must pay for the provision of these services. Our hearing centre adheres to the recommended fee schedule of the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
